A non-traditional wedding at The Jewel Box + Genesis catering.

A preview of Rachael and Josh's wedding at The Jewel Box in Forest Park and Genesis.

We started the day with a few getting ready photos at an Airbnb the couple rented near Forest Park.

Next, we headed to Forest Park to The World's Fair Pavilion for a first look and other formal photos, since we had such a limited time in-between the ceremony and reception. It was a very sunny and beautiful but very windy, December day. Everyone tried their best to tough it out for pictures, but we found them often huddled around a circle trying to keep each other warm.

The wedding ceremony took place The Jewel Box in Forest Park. This amazing greenhouse is a great place for ceremonies! With lots of natural light and seasonal plants and flowers!

Next up, the reception at Genesis Catering. Rachael and Josh had a private last dance at the end of the reception, where they asked everyone to leave the reception Hall. It was just us (videographer and photographer) and Rachael and Josh. It was such an intimate and romantic moment, and we captured some really great photos and video.

We loved getting to know these two and had a wonderful time photographing and filming their wedding!

Maggie and Frank will be welcoming their baby boy into the world very soon!

We were so excited when they reached out to us to photograph their maternity and newborn session!

We photographed their engagement session and the wedding, and we are so excited to get a chance to capture another milestone for this sweet and fun couple.

I wish I could tell you all it was perfectly beautiful sunny skies and no wind at all, unfortunately that was not the case.

Maggie and Frank were troopers as they braved the cold with us and we ended up with beautiful pictures!

We had a great time yet again photographing Maggie and Frank and look forward to meeting baby Xavier soon!

A Winter Family Session

We met The Wuelling family on a beautiful but cold and windy fall morning

We always love getting to see Jenny and Ray! We were lucky enough to shoot their wedding and now we get to photograph there ever growing family. We wish we could’ve spent more time talking with them unfortunately we were busy battling the winds.

They were troopers as we did our best to stay warm to get some beautiful photos.

Retro/Classic Wedding | Old Stone Chapel + New Town Event Tent | Amanda + Jason

A preview of Amanda and Jason‘s wedding at Old Stone Chapel in Saint Charles, MO and New Town Event Tent in New Town Saint Charles, MO.

These two met online through the site "Plenty of Fish". for their first date they met at Ethel's Smokehouse.

At the time Jason was living in Barry, Illinois and drove all the way to O’Fallon, MO to meet Amanda.
A 2-hour drive! At the restaurant they enjoyed dinner and talked for several hours.

Their usual date style is laid-back and love to laugh together. They enjoy walking around Main Street St. Charles and trying new barbecue places.

During a family photo session with their dog Ollie, A seven-year-old Sheltie, Jason proposed to Amanda! It was a complete surprise to Amanda, and they were able to capture the whole moment on camera!

If asked if they could describe the relationship in a couple of words they said, selfless, strong, beautiful and loving. Definitely perfect words to describe these two. They are truly a strong and selfless couple that loves their family and friends and each other with all their heart.

The wedding ceremony took place The Old Stone Chapel in St. Charles Missouri on Main Street. We love the brick and neat chandeliers throughout the building.

After the ceremony and formals with the family, we did a few more pictures in Saint Charles on Main Street, mostly the riverfront. Then we all headed to New Town to get ready for the reception and a few more pictures.

Amanda and Jason ‘s dog Ollie, met us there in New Town. We love when couples have someone to bring their pet to a location for pictures on the wedding day! We had a great time walking around and just getting some casual fun pictures with a couple, the wedding party, and the doggy.

Finally, it was time for the reception, at New Town Event Tent. Towards the end of the night, we were able to sneak Amanda and Jason out for one more "nighttime picture" in front of the fountain. We love when couples give us the opportunity to take nighttime photos!

To end the evening, a sparkler exit! A great way for your guests and the couple to enjoy a final goodbye at the end of the night.

We loved getting to know these two and had a wonderful time photographing and filming their wedding!

We met these two on a Monday evening an hour or so before sunset. The Park was filled with beautiful flowers and lots of greenery, we loved it!

Throughout the session we all laughed and goofed around together. These two are lots of fun to be around and both love candid photos and for sure got plenty of them! 😊

We had a great time getting to know these guys and can’t wait for their wedding day in December!

These two met at a friend's wedding. They must’ve hit it off right away, because Cody came all the way to
Chicago, for their first date, where Monica was living. They went to mass, went to lunch and then walked around downtown at the lakefront.

Their usual date style, casual, dinner out bowling or movie.

The proposal story sounds like a usual night at home. they were cooking at home talking and dancing around the kitchen while cooking. After dinner Kodi said he had made dessert and had to go get it from his truck. When he came back, he had a big smile on his face and his hands behind his back. He walked over to Monica was, got down on the knee, and pop the question.

They enjoy gardening, reading, taking walks and watching movies together.

If asked if they could describe the relationship in one word, they used intentional. Definitely perfect word to describe these two. They are so love and caring for each other. We saw that throughout the wedding day.

The wedding ceremony took place at The Cathedral Basilica of St. Louis. A huge and amazingly beautiful church.

After the ceremony and formals with the family, we headed to Forest Park for some wedding party and bride groom pictures.

It was unbelievably windy at the park, but everyone made the best of it, and we captured some amazing photos!

Finally, it was time for the reception, at Silo Point at Brookdale Farms in Eureka, MO.

We had a wonderful time photographing and filming Cody and Monica's wedding and getting to know these two!

These two met at school and through friends.

Their favorite date style is exploring the outdoor or going to the movies.

Blue Springs Campground is where these two said I love you for the first time ever!

If asked if they could describe the relationship in one word they used caring. Definitely perfect word to describe these two. They are so loving and caring for each other and down for any adventure. We saw that throughout the wedding day.

They say their favorite show they have to watch together is Hunting Public.

These two say their favorite way to spend time together is Camping, fishing, hunting, or just hanging out at home.

Devon proposed to Kayleigh and her parent's garage on her birthday. There was music playing and he was down one knee and said, "I know it’s been a while, but I want to spend the rest of my life with you." Kayleigh of course said "Yes" and "it's about time!"😂

The wedding day took place at Renaissance Wine Garden in Foristell Missouri. The ceremony was outside beside a lagoon. There are beautiful glass windows that are hung up as the background for the ceremony space, as well as cute ornate doors as the entranceway to the ceremony space.

A sneak peek of Brittany and John's wedding at Hermann Hill in Hermann, MO

These two met at a Fourth of July party and for their first day, they went to the store World Market and bought food wine, and candles.

Their favorite date style is outdoor activities like fishing, hiking and adventures.

A little beer pong fun on your wedding day?! Yes please!:)

John proposed to Brittany on Thanksgiving Day 2020 at her mother's house, Brittany's brother and his girlfriend were also there. Everyone was outside taking pictures by the pond when John "casually" popped the question. Unfortunately, it wasn’t casual at all I was a little awkward and silly which is perfect for the two of them!

If asked if they could describe the relationship in one word, they used adventurous and reliable. Definitely, perfect words to describe these two. They are so loving and caring for each other and down for any adventure. We saw that throughout the day and throughout their engagement session as well!

They say their favorite show they have to watch together is Ghost Adventures.

These two say their favorite way to spend time together is watching movies together or hanging out with close friends. as well as spending time with their two dogs, Kuma & Astro and their cat Franklin.

The wedding day took place at Hermann Hill. The day was filled with amazing blue skies and lots of sunshine. During the ceremony Brittany and John recited their own vows. It's always lovely to see couples add that extra personal touch.

We ended the day with a beautiful sunset as well, a perfect way to end a perfect wedding.

Schroeder Wedding Preview | 8.7.21 | Trinity Lutheran Church + Smartt Field Airport

A sneak peek of Casey and Paul's wedding at Trinity Lutheran Church and Smartt Field Airport.

These two met when they were just kids and both love boating!

For the first date they took the boat out for the evening, obviously it went well😂

Their favorite date style is eating some Mexican food or being on the river.

Paul had one of Casey ‘s friends gather a bunch of photos of them a plan to set them up with candles, champagne, flowers etc. at one of the boat harbors near the river. It was pouring down rain so instead he asked if they wanted to go for a drive before dinner instead (something they did often) and he had Casey’s friend come and said everything up in their kitchen instead while they were out. Paul “intentionally“ left his wallet at home so he'd have to go back before dinner and grab it at home. He ran inside and then called for Casey to come inside because one of the windows was leaking. These two had recently bought their first home together and have been remodeling it. they had had continual problems with the window, so she didn’t think anything of it when he called her in. When Casey walked inside Paul was already down on one knee! Casey of course said yes, and afterwards they went to celebrate with family at a nearby restaurant.

If asked if they could describe the relationship in one word, they used supportive and unfailing. Definitely perfect words to describe these two. They are so loving and caring for each other. We saw that throughout the day and throughout their engagement session as well!

They say their favorite show they have to watch together is Yellowstone.

These two say their favorite way to spend time together is of course on the river, but when it’s cold outside they like to stay home watch movies and play games.

They had a beautiful ceremony at the gorgeous Trinity Lutheran in old Saint Charles. After a few family formals at the church, we headed to a very neat old barn, of the families for some more formals. Then with just the wedding party we went to the river where they like to hang out and drink and then froggy ‘s bar so they could all finally relax before the reception.
The reception was at the very unique Smartt Field Airport in Portage Des Sioux, a small river town in Missouri, not far from Saint Charles.

Check out a few of our favorite photos from the first engagement session of the season!

We met Casey and Paul in St. Charles on Main Street. It was a beautiful sunny Saturday and it was very crowded. We did our best to stay away from the crowds but Casey and Paul did have to display their affections a few times in front of quite a few people who gave them nothing but praises😂

Paul and Casey have known each other since they were kids, and can’t even remember how they first got to know each other.

Casey and Paul both love boating and for their first date they took the boat out for the evening.

Their favorite way to spend time together is anywhere on the water, such as boating, hiking and fishing, when it’s nice out.

When it’s cold out they stay in and watch movies, play games, bake and craft.

They also have two black labs that keep them quite busy and say their TV show they can’t miss is “Yellowstone”.

Paul had the perfect idea for a proposal!

He was going to have candles, champagne and flowers all set up on the boat harbor near the river.

Unfortunately, it started pouring down rain so he planned a dinner instead. What Casey didn’t know is that Paul had friends gathering at the house setting up everything. He intentionally left his wallet at home.

When he ran inside to grab it he asked Casey to come inside and look at the leaky window that was in their new house that had been having problems.
So she thought nothing of it and walked right inside...

When Casey walked in, Paul was already down on one knee, everything set up behind him, candles, Champagne, flowers, etc. It was a beautiful scene❤️ Paul then had family waiting at a nearby restaurant to celebrate after.

We had a great time photographing at getting to know this wonderful couple and look forward to their wedding in August!

A little preview of the holiday session we had with the Bishop family + the in-laws.

We are so happy to have met this sweet and loving family.

Some of you know that during the week I work at St. Louis Bread Company. This is where I met, Stephanie. Although our interactions are not very long, I noticed her sweet smile and loving personality. I loved her instantly! ☺️

So, once the holidays came around I had to show off the beautiful scenes for the year to her. She loves them and thought I would be a great idea to have a holiday photo session and since she was going to have her inlaws in town for Thanksgiving it was going to be even more special.

We had a great time photographing and getting to know everyone!

Holiday Sessions | Johansen Family

A little preview of the holiday session we had with the Johansen family.

We photographed Jyoti and Ken’s gender reveal in September and now we are so happy that we got to see them again, for this holiday session.

They brought their puppies in their cute Christmas sweaters. They were a little hard to wrangle but we still manage to get some awesome pictures.

Another great holiday session with a wonderful family. We can’t wait till January when little baby Johansen is due!

This gorgeous girl is a love to wrestle, and is an MMA fighter, when she’s not working or going to school.

We had a great time getting to know Zoie and talking about her plans for the future.

We started out at The Sandy Creek Covered Bridge in Hillsboro, Missouri. It was insanely crowded on this beautiful fall Saturday, so we just got a few photos and headed to our next location.

We had to follow Sam and Ben to the next location, the family farm, which was Sam’s grandfathers property. We are always so excited to go to a family farm, or any private venue. No cars, people, clutter, etc. to have to worry about.

We had a few things about the property that we love. Such as, the field with the trees in a perfect line, the retaining wall/gardening wall that Sam’s grandfather built. Such a unique structure and it’s so awesome that is still intact today. Lastly but not least, is the creek you have to cross to get to the property/farm. For being such a little creek, it sure ended up being a gorgeous picture!

We had an awesome time photographing and getting to know Samantha and Benjamin and we look forward to photographing and filming their wedding in November!

Fall Family Session | Medrano family at Dames Park

This sweet little family session was shot at Dames Park in O'Fallon, MO on a very windy and sunny fall day. They did a fantastic job of making seem like they were not cold and about the fly away..lol

We loved getting the opportunity to see Anne and Sergio again! We have not seen them since their wedding in July of 2018! Since then they have added to their family.

We finally got to meet the sweet and shy little Giancarlo. Although he was not super "into" me yet, we were still able to get a few smiles from this little guy. He loves the sound and sight of a little bell (how we got most of our shots) and of course Mom and Dad.

We could not be happier for these two and this wonderful little family they have created together. We look forward to watching them continue to change and grow over the years.

A Casual Fall Wedding at 370 Lakeside Park

Summer + Jacob basically grew up together, they met in their childhood neighborhood in St. Charles, MO.

Their first date was a Bradly Gilbert concert and say that their typical date night would be dinner and a movie or going to Dave & Buster’s.

Jacob proposed to Summer at their son’s gender reveal party.

Summer and Jacob had a outdoor ceremony at 370 Lakeside Park in St. Peters, MO. Despite the windy conditions, these guys were troopers and we captured some lovely photos. We are so happy we were able to capture and be there for these two on such a momentous occasion in their lives.

Theadora | Lifestyle Newborn Session

This is sweet little Theadora.

We were invited into this family’s home last Friday. This sweet family, as you can see from the photos, are already SO in love with this sweet little girl.

Little Theadora was so sweet throughout the session and didn’t seem to mind much being “passed around” so that everyone could have a turn of holding her.
Everyone was very excited to hold Theadora for pictures.

One of our favorite photos is of the oldest daughter and Theadora, she’s so proud to be a older sister and looked like a natural holding that baby. So sweet.

We had a great time photographing little Theadore and we look forward to watching this wonderful family continue to grow.

Teresa + Ian | Wedding Preview

A preview of Teresa + Ian’s wedding on September 5th, 2020.

These two sporty individuals met in collage. On their first date Ian dressed to impress and surprised Teresa with a cute teddy bear. After the date Ian carried Teresa to the pitcher’s mound and asked her to be his girlfriend.

At the end of Ian’s last baseball game of the season at collage, the seniors and their girlfriends were taking photos of each other on the pitcher’s mound. So, Teresa was already conveniently in the prefect spot for Ian to ask her to marry him in the same spot where they became a couple.

Ian + Teresa say their typical date style is anywhere from being adventurous like hiking or being casual with going to the movies or simple dinners. Ian loves to hunt and play baseball and is now a baseball coach. Teresa loves volleyball and even got Ian to play as well.

These two have lots of favorite TV show they say they can’t miss such as Law & Order, SVU, Friends, The Circle, and Good Girls, just to name a few they say😊.
They have a 1-year old puppy named Jasmine and a 10-year-old cat named Misty.

Ian + Teresa were wed at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Cottleville. It was a lovely ceremony where they reciting their own vows. We simply loved the stained-glass windows and high celling at St. Joseph.

We shot “half-time” photos at City Centre Park or Rec-Plex park as its fondly know as. This group really was so much fun and you can truly see that in their photos. Teresa and Ian are so easy going and were willing to try anything. We loved having the opportunity to try out some really cool and fun photo ideas out!

They partied the night away at St. Peters Cultural Arts Centre and Teresa had a surprise slideshow made for Ian and everyone to watch at the reception.

A wonderful day filled with so much love.

We had a great time photographing Ian + Teresa’s wedding and wish them best wishes and a lifetime of happiness.

Family Session at City Centre Park | St. Peters, MO

A few of our favorite photos from a recent family session.

It has been so much of a joy getting to know this wonderful little family. We photographed their maternity and newborn session. Then, their little guy, Barry's, one year birthday session.

Now, we are finally photographing the whole family together. We had such a fun time spending the day and photographing this session. It was also really special being able to photograph in same favorite spot where all these the wonderful sessions happened.
